Institutional Review Board Scheduled Meetings
The IRB will meet on the third Friday each month, excluding December and the summer months, unless there are no applications to review or other business on the agenda.
At the discretion of and contingent on the availability of IRB members, exempt and expedited protocols may be processed electronically, on a rolling basis outside of standing IRB meetings.

- Summer 2025: 5/19 – 7/18
- Fall 2025: 8/11 – 12/5

*The IRB is closed during holidays and breaks. IRB Summer term operation is contingent on the availability of IRB faculty.
The average time for the IRB to review a submission is two weeks. The total time frame to move through the review and approval process depends on the completeness of the submission and the responsiveness of the research team to requests for additional information or revisions.
Researchers should submit applications for review a minimum of one month prior to the desired start of research, and promptly respond to requests from the Board to avoid processing delays. The IRB is not able to accelerate reviews or give special considerations to accommodate a desired research start date.
